L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-30042024-253979 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (iii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 106] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, APRIL 30, 2024/VAISAKHA 10, 1946 ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th April, 2024 O.N. 115(E).— Whereas, the President of India has, by notification issued under the provision of Sub-section (2) of Section 14 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) issued Notification on 12th April, 2024 for 3rd Phase of ongoing General Election to House of People, 2024 and Election Commission issued notification under Section 30 and 56 of the said Act and fixed the Poll day on 7th May, 2024 (Tuesday). 2. Various representations have been received from different political parties of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir for shifting the date of poll of election from 3-Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary Constituency (PC) of Jammu & Kashmir, due to various logistic, communication and natural barriers of connectivity turning out as hindrance in campaigning which in turn tantamount to lack of fair opportunities for the contesting candidates in the said Parliamentary Constituency which may affect poll process. 3.
