L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-29072024-255886 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2893] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, JULY 29, 2024/SHRAVANA 7, 1946 4706 GI/2024 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th July, 2024 S.O. 3034(E).—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (3) of section 3 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), the Central Government has extended the declaration of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) as an unlawful association for a further period of five years from 10th July, 2024 vide notification number S.O. 2660(E), dated the 8th July, 2024, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 9th July, 2024. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), the Central Government hereby directs that all powers exercisable by it under section 7 and section 8 of the said Act shall be exercised also by the State Governments of Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh and the Union Territory Administrations of Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir and National Capital Territory of Delhi in relation to the above said unlawful association.
