In exercise of the power conferred by clause (7A) of Section 2 of the Railways Act, 1989 (Amended in 2008), the Central Government hereby authorizes the Officer mentioned in column (2) of the table below to perform the functions of the "Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA)" in respect of Railway Project as mentioned in column (5) of the table, for execution ,maintenance,management and operation in the District (3) and the state mentioned in column (4) of the said table, with effect from the date of this notification in the Official Gazette. OF OUR LADY OF SORROWS The Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows are a Catholic religious institute of pontifical right for women. ### History The Congregation was founded in Montefalco, Umbria, Italy, by Mother Mary Crucified of Jesus (Maria Antonia) Satellico, O.S.F. (1774–1846), who had been a Franciscan Tertiary. The community was founded in 1832 as a contemplative community. In 1837, the community became an active religious institute dedicated to the education of girls. The Congregation received pontifical approval from Pope Gregory XVI in 1837. ### Superiors General 1.
