6291 GI/202 4 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3887] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY , SEPTEMBER 2 7, 2024 /ASVINA 5, 194 6 CG-DL-E-28092024-257577 क ु ल 546.59 1350.63 MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 27th September, 2024 S.O. 4245(E).— Whereas it appears to the Central Government that Coal is likely to be obtained from the land in the local ity described in the Schedule annexed hereto ; And whereas the plan bearing number HQS and DN24080, dated the 12th June, 2024, containing details of the area of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the General Manager, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Mining Limited, North Dhadu (Eastern Part) Coal Mining Project at Coal Mining Headquarters, NTPC, Ginni Plaza, Station Road, Post Office Chutia, District Ranchi 834001, Jharkhand or at the office of the General Manager (Exploration), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Gondwana Palace, Kanke Road, Ranchi 834008, Jharkhand or at the office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller’s Organization, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th Floor, Core II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi 110092 or at the office of the District Collector, Latehar 829206, Jharkhand or office of Chief Executive Officer, NTPC Mining Limited, NTPC Bhawan, Core 7, Scope Complex, Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi 110003. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said Schedule; Any person interested in the land described in the said Schedule may – (i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub -section (3) of section 4 thereof; or (ii) claim compensation under sub -section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting licenses ceasing to have effect or under sub -section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub -section (1) of section 13 of the said Act, to the office of the General Manager, NTPC Mining Limited, North Dhadu (Eastern Part) Coal Mining Project, at Coal Mining Headquarters, NTPC, Ginni Plaza, Station Road, Post Office Chutia, District Ranchi 834001, Jharkhand within a period of ninety days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
