No. PCE -I-11-17/5/2021 -Legal Division. —Whereas the public notices advertising the draft proposal for addition of formats in the Central Electricit y Authority (Furnishing of Statistics, Returns and Information) Regulations, 2007 were published in six newspaper dailies, as required under sub -regulation (2) of regulation 9 of the said regulations for inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of the period of thirty -five days, from the date on which the copies of the newspaper containing the said publications were made available to the public; And whereas copies of the said newspapers containing the public notices and the said draft regulations on website of the Central Electricity Authority were made available to the public on 28.04.2022; And whereas the objections and suggestions received from the public on the said draft regulations were consi dered by the Central Electricity Authority; And whereas the said regulations consist of 65 formats for furnishing of the statistics, returns or information by the licensees, generating companies, person(s) generating electricity for its or his own use and person(s) engaged in generation, transmission, distribution, trading and utilization of electricity to the Central Electricity Authority. And whereas the sub -regulation (2) of regulation 9 of the said regulations inter -alia provides for the methodology for addition/deletion/revision of formats for furnishing of the statistics, returns or information, its time schedule and periodicity through the notification after inviting objections or suggestions from persons likely to be affected thereby. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub -regulation (2) of regulation 9 of the said regulations, the Central Electricity Authority hereby makes the following addition/ revision of the formats in the Central Electricity Authority (Furnishing of Statis tics, Returns and Information) Regulations, 2007, namely : - 1. The sub-regulation (3) of Regulation 2 shall be substituted , namely :- “All other words and expressions used and not defined in these regulations but defined in the Act, Rules made by the Governme nt of India, other Regulations of CEA and Regulations of CERC assigned to them, shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act, Rules and Regulations .” 2. The following shall be added after clause (v) of sub -regulation (4) of Regulation (3) ,namely: - “(vi) Electricity Regulatory Commissions (i.e. CERC, SERCs, JERCs); (vii) Power Exchanges; (viii) State Nodal Agency; recognized agency for renewable energy projects. ” 3.
