Amendment in the RR for the post of Inspector erstwhile Intelligence Officer in NCB

EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 549] NEW DELH I, WEDNESDAY , SEPTEMBER 27, 2023/ ASVINA 5, 1945 CG-DL-E-27092023-249024 MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 13th September, 2023 G.S.R . 693 (E).-- In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Home Affairs, Narcotics Control Bureau (Intelligence Officer) Group ‘B’ (Non Gazetted, Non Ministerial Post) Recruitment Rules, 2021, nam ely:- 1. Short title and commencement. –– (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Home Affairs, Narcotics Control Bureau (Intelligence Officer) Group ‘B’ (Non Gazetted, Non Ministerial Post) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Ministry of Home Affairs, Narcotics Control Bureau (Intelligence Officer) Group ‘B’ (Non Gazetted, Non Ministerial post) Recruitment Rules, 2021, (herei nafter referred to as the said rules), - (i) in the opening paragraph, for the words “post of Intelligence Officer”, the words “post of Inspector” shall be substituted; (ii) in rule 1, in sub -rule(1), for the brackets and words “(Intelligence Officer)”, the bracke ts and words “Inspector” shall be substituted. 3. In the said rules, in the schedule, - (i) in column(1), for the words “Intelligence Officer’, the word “Inspector” shall be substituted; (ii) in column(2), for the figures and brackets “189* (2021)”, the figures and brackets “239*(2023)” shall be substituted; (iii) in column (11) under the sub -heading (Promotion), for the words “Junior Intelligence Officer’, the words “Sub -Inspector” shall be substituted; (iv) in column (12), at serial number (3), for the entries “Deputy Direc tor, Narcotics Control Bureau -Member”, the entries “Deputy Secretary or Director (Internal Security -II Division), Ministry of Home Affairs - Member.” shall be substituted.
