NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR INDIAN SYSTEM OF MEDICINE
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 23rd August, 2024
F. No. BOA/2-C/2024.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 55 of the National Commission for
Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020 (14 of 2020), the Commission hereby makes the following regulation to amend the
National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (Minimum Essential Standards, Assessment and Rating for
Undergraduate Ayurveda Colleges and Attached Teaching Hospitals) Regulations-2024, namely: -
1. Short title and Commencement. (1) These regulations may be called the National Commission for Indian
System of Medicine (Minimum Essential Standards, Assessment And Rating For Undergraduate Ayurveda
Colleges and Attached Teaching Hospitals) Amendment Regulations, 2024.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (Minimum Essential Standards, Assessment and
Rating for Undergraduate Ayurveda Colleges and Attached Teaching Hospitals) Regulations, 2024, in regulation
9, for sub-regulation (4), the following sub- regulation shall be substituted, namely:-
"(4) (a) Biometric attendance data shall be made available to the concerned regulatory body or the Commission
or the Autonomous Boards of the Commission on real time basis throughout the year through any agency as
assigned by the Commission;
(b) every Ayurveda Medical College or Institution shall connect with centralized Aadhar Enabled Biometric
Attendance System for marking attendance of Teaching Staff, Non- teaching Staff, Hospital Staff.
Postgraduate Students including Interns and the Commission shall be the authority to access and analyse
attendance data online from centralized Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System."
3. In table no. 10, under the heading 'College' in row 1., and column (2), the 'Digital Library shall be substituted as
'Digital Library and Information Technology Cell', and column (3), '18 months' shall be substituted as
'18 months for Digital Library and 06 months for Information Technology Cell'.
4. In Page No.59. Schedule-III, under the heading 'Minimum Constructed area required for teaching, department
and their values' in row 31 (page no. 60), and column (3) (4) (5) (6), 125, 200, 275, 350 shall be substituted as
150, 250, 350, 450 respectively.
