Issued by the Election Commission of India (O.N. 112(E), dated 26th April 2024, New Delhi), this notification, made in pursuance of Sections 30 and 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) and following the President's notification under sub-section (2) of Section 14 of the same Act published on 26th April 2024, fixes for Phase-V of the parliamentary election the last date for nominations as 3rd May 2024, scrutiny of nominations as 4th May 2024, withdrawal of candidatures as 6th May 2024, polling on 20th May 2024, and completion of the election process by 6th June 2024, for constituencies including Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Saran and Hajipur in Bihar; Chatra, Kodarma and Hazaribagh in Jharkhand; Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Palghar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Thane and multiple Mumbai constituencies in Maharashtra; and Bargarh and Sundargarh constituencies in Odisha, with polling hours generally set from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (some constituencies ending at 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM); the notification was signed by Sanjeev Kumar Prasad, Secretary.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 26th April, 2024

O.N. 112(E).—WHEREAS, the President of India has, by notification issued under sub-section (2) of
Section 14 of the Representation of People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) and published in the Gazette of India on the
26th April, 2024 (Friday), been pleased to call upon each of the parliamentary constituencies, specified in column (2)
of the Schedule below, in the States or Union Territories mentioned in column (1), of the Schedule to elect members
to the House of the People, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made
thereunder;

2. Now, therefore, in pursuance of Sections 30 and 56 of the said Act, the Election Commission of India
hereby-

(A) Appoints, with respect to the said election, from each of the parliamentary constituencies specified in the
    said Schedule,
    (a) the 03rd May, 2024 (Friday), as the last date for making nominations;
    (b) the 04th May, 2024 (Saturday), as the date for scrutiny of nominations;
    (c) the 06th May, 2024 (Monday), as the last date for withdrawal of candidatures;
    (d) the date specified in column (3) of the SCHEDULE below, as the date on which a poll shall, if
        necessary, be taken in the parliamentary constituencies, specified in the corresponding entry in column
        (2) of the said Schedule; and
    (e) the 06th June, 2024 (Thursday), as the date before which the election shall be completed in all the
        above mentioned parliamentary constituencies; and

(B) Fixes the hours specified in column (4) of the said Schedule, as the hours during which the poll shall, if
    necessary, be taken in the constituencies, specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said
    Schedule, on the date specified against such constituency in column (3) thereof, for the above election.
