L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-26022024-252386 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 125] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2024/PHALGUNA 7, 1945 MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 26th February, 2024 G.S.R. 136(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 156 of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force Act, 1992 (35 of 1992), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Armourer Cadre (Group 'A' posts) Recruitment Rules, 2019, namely:- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Armourer Cadre (Group 'A' posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Armourer Cadre (Group 'A' posts) Recruitment Rules, 2019 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 9, for the words "fifty-seven years" at both the places where they occur, the words "sixty years" shall be substituted. 3. In the said rules, in the Schedule,- (a) against serial number 1, relating to the post of Deputy Commandant (Armourer),- (i) in column (2), for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:- "4* (2024) * Subject to variation dependent on workload."; (ii) in column (9), for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:- "Two years for re-employment."; (iii) in column (11), under the heading by Deputation, for Note: 2, the following Notes shall be substituted, namely:- "Note 2: The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed four years. Note 1: Where juniors who have completed their qualifying or eligibility service are being considered for promotion their seniors shall also be considered provided they are not short of the requisite qualifying or eligibility service by more than half of such qualifying or eligibility service or two years, whichever is less and have successfully completed their probation period for promotion to the next higher grade along with their juniors who have already completed such qualifying or eligibility service. Note 2: The eligibility condition for promotion of Inspector (Armourer) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force who are holding the post on regular basis on the date of notification of these rules, shall be three years of regular service in the grade and having undergone Electrical or Mechanical or Engineering (Assistant Inspector of Arms) Course or Armourer Grade-1 course conducted by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force.".
