For instance, a 36-page ordinary fresh passport costs Rs. 2500 in India (Normal) or $125 abroad (Normal), with Tatkaal fees of Rs. 5000 in India or $250 abroad. The schedule also details fees for Special Travel Documents such as Emergency Certificates ($15 abroad) and Certificates of Identity (Rs. 1000 in India, $50 abroad), and Miscellaneous Services like Police Clearance Certificates, Surrender Certificates, or Global Entry Program verification (Rs. 750 in India, $40 abroad). Passports issued for applicants aged 18 and above will be valid for up to ten years, while those for minors below 18 will be valid for five years or until the applicant attains 18 years, whichever is earlier.
