In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 13AA of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India, in consultation with the Government of Assam, hereby makes following amendments in its Notification No. 508/AS/2024, dated 24th July, 2024, namely:- In the last row of the table appended to the said Notification, the existing entries under column (1) and column (2) "Karimganj" and "District Commissioner, Karimganj" shall be substituted and read as "Sribhumi” and “District Commissioner, Sribhumi”, respectively.
