EXTRAORDINARY PART III—Section 4 PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 740] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY , SEPTEMBER 20, 2024 /BHADRA 29, 194 6 CG-DL-E-23092024-257407 2024" THE BUREAU OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 20th September, 2024 No. BEE/S&L/ Refrigerators /70/2023 -24.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (i) of sub -section (2) of section 58 read with clause (n) of sub -section (2) of section 13 and clause (d) of section 14 of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (52 of 2001), the Bureau of Energy Efficiency with t he previous approval of the Central Government, proposes to amend the Bureau of Energy E fficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Refrigerators) Regulations , 2022 , the proposed draft amendment are hereby published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, as required by sub -section (1) of section 58 of the said Act, for th e information of all the persons likely to be affected thereby and inviting their suggestions and objections (if any); and the notice is hereby given that the said draft regulations shall be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of th irty days from the date of their publication in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary. Objections or suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Director -General of Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, 4th Floor, Sewa Bhawan, R. K. Puram, Sector -1, New Delhi -110066. Objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft amendment regulations before the expiry of the period of thirty days specified in para 1 above shall be taken into consideration by the Bure au of Energy Efficiency. 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These regulations may be called the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Refrigerators ), (Amendment ) Regulation s, 2024 . (2) They shall come i nto force on the date of their publication in the Offici al Gazette. 2. in sub-regulation (1) of regulation 3, after item (i), the foll owing shall be inserted namely. - (j) Electricity Savings/year (kWh) (k) CO 2 emission reduction/year (kg CO 2) 3. in sub-regulat ion (1) of regula tion 9 of the said regulation s, the word five shall be substituted by word thirteen. 4. in all the FORMS of the principal regulation s, for figures and words “ Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Refrigerators ), Regulations, 2022” wherever they occurs the following figures and words shall be substituted namely. - “Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Refrigerators ), (Amendment) Regulatio ns, 2024” 5. In the said regulations, under item 7 of annexure FORM I – (B), under the heading “Specimen of the label to be affixed on the refrigerator is shown below”, the followi ng shall be substituted, namely. - 6. in the said regulation s, in item 2(e) of FORM II (B), wor d “five” shall be substituted by word “thirteen”. 7. in the said regulations, under item 3 of annexure appended to FORM II – (B), the following shall be substituted, namely. - 8. In the said regulations, in Schedule, under the heading, ―“Particulars to be displayed on labels of refrigerator.’’, under item “(1. ) (i) & (ii)”, the following shall be substituted respectively, namely. - (1.)
