Detailed Summary

The Election Commission of India, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 13AA of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), and in supersession of its previous notification No. 508/GOA/2008 dated 11th June, 2008 regarding the designation of District Election Officer, hereby designates, in consultation with the State Government, the Collector & District Magistrate for each District in the State of Goa as the District Election Officer for that District. The notification specifies the area in respect of which each such officer shall exercise jurisdiction, listing the Assembly Constituencies for North Goa District (Sl. No. 1-19) and South Goa District (Sl. No. 20-40). The notification is dated 19th May, 2025 and published on 20th May, 2025.
