Notification S.O. 2263(E) issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on 20th May, 2025, in pursuance of clause (1) of article 239 of the Constitution, states that the President directs the Lieutenant Governor of the Union territory of Ladakh to exercise the powers and discharge the functions of the State Government under the provisions of the Factories Act, 1948 (63 of 1948), within the Union territory of Ladakh. This directive is subject to the control of the President and is effective until further order. The notification is issued under F.
