ORDER
New Delhi, the 19th December , 2024
S.O. 5492 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955
(10 of 1955), the Central Governm ent hereby makes the following o rder further to amend the Fertiliser (Inorganic,
Organic or Mixed) (Control) Order, 1985, namely: -
1. (1) This Order may be called the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) ( Sixth ) Amendment
Order, 2024 .
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the ir Official Gazette
2. In the Fertilizer ( Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Order, 1985 (hereinafter referred to as the
said order ), -
(i) After clause 28 B, the following clause shall be inserted, namely: -
(i) “(28BA ) in case of Nano fertiliser , out of three parts made by the inspector as per the procedure
specified in Schedule –II, one part shall be sent to e ither Tamil Nadu Agriculture University,
Coimbatore or to N ational Test House, Ghaziabad and one part shall be given to the manufacturer or
dealer and the third part shall be kept in custody of designated authority".
(ii) after clause 29 (1C), the following clause shall be inserted , namely: -
“(1D) Nano Fertiliser sample drawn by the inspector shall be analyzed in accordance with th e
procedure specified in Schedule II P art B in Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore or
National Test House, Ghaziabad”.
3. In Schedule II , Part A of the said order, after serial number 9 and the entries relating thereto , the following serial
numbe r and entries shall be inserted , namely: -
“ 10. Method of sampling of Nano fertilisers”
(i) The Fertiliser Inspector shall take three bottles as sample of the same batch and t he label affixed on
these samples shall be defaced and a label containing the generic name, date of sampling and code
numbe r shall be pasted on the bottle and t he sample shall be kept in cloth bag , sealed with Inspector
seal.
(ii) The sealed cloth bag containing sample along with form ‘P’ shall be kept in another cloth bag and
sealed with inspector seal and identifiable detail s such as code number , date of sampling , generic
name of Nano fertiliser shall be put on the cloth bag .
(iii) Out of three samples collected, one sample sealed shall be sent to T amil Nadu Agriculture
University or N ational Test House under clause 29 (1D) and another sample shall be given to
manufac turer or dealer , as the case may be a nd the third sample shall be sent by the inspector to the
designated authority notified under clause 28A for safe custody ”.
