NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 1 8th December, 2023
S.O. 5363 (E).—Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from the
land in the locality described in the schedule annexed hereto;
And whereas the plan bearing number ECL/SB P/Survey/23 -24/21 5, dated the 10th August, 2023 containing
details of the area of land described in the schedule may be inspected at the Office of the General Manager, Sonepur
Bazari Area, E astern Coalfields Limited, District Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal -713322 or at the Office of the
General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Designing Institute Limited , Asansol, District
Paschim Bardhaman (West Bengal) or at the Office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller’s Organisation, Ministry
of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th Floor, Core -II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi -110 092 or at the Office of the District Collector,
District Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of Co al Bearing Areas
(Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) ( herei nafter referred to the said Act) the Central Government
hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said Schedule;
Any person interested in the land described in the said Schedule may -
(i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any
action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 thereof; or
(ii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting licenses
ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect
and deliver all maps, chart and other document relating to the land to show the expenditure incurred in
respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act,
to the Office of the General Manager, Sonepur Bazari Area, E astern Coalfields Limited, District Paschim Bardhaman ,
West Bengal -713322 within a period of ninety days from the date of p ublication of this notification in the Official
Gazette.

26, Sankarpur JL number -28, Chhora JL number -29, under P.S - Pandaveswar and Mouza - Khandra JL number -32
under P.S -Andal. Aforesaid polygons are described below: -
