Notification regarding the date of enforcement of the amendments made under Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 through Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act,2023

EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 17th October , 2023 G.S.R. 749(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (2) of section 1 of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023 (18 of 2023), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st April, 2024 as the date on which the provisions of the sa id Act, i n so far as it relates to serial number 24 and the entries thereto in the Schedule to the said Act, relating to the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), shall come into force.
