NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 17th June, 2025
G.S.R. 387(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of section 141
of the Border Security Force Act, 1968 (47 of 1968), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further
to amend the Border Security Force, General Duty Cadre (Non-Gazetted) Recruitment Rules, 2015, namely:
1. (1) These rules may be called the Border Security Force, General Duty Cadre (Non-Gazetted) Recruitment
(Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Border Security Force, General Duty Cadre (Non-Gazetted) Recruitment Rules, 2015, -
(a) for rule 15, the following rule shall be substituted, namely: -
"15. Superannuation. - (1) Every person appointed under these rules shall retire from service on the afternoon of
the last day of the month in which he or she attains the age of sixty years or as per prescribed by the Central
Government from time to time:
Provided that a person whose date of birth is on the first of a month, shall retire from service on the afternoon
of the last day of the preceding month on attaining the age of superannuation.
(2) No person shall be granted extension in service beyond the prescribed age of retirement on superannuation as
specified in sub-rule (1).";
(b) in the Schedule, against serial number 2, relating to the post of Sub-Inspector, in column (7), in item (iii),
under the heading "Must fulfill the following" for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted;
namely:
"Physical and medical standard for recruitment shall be applicable as per the scheme specified by the Central
Government from time to time.".
