L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-18062024-254757 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2235] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, JUNE 18, 2024/JYAISHTHA 28, 1946 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th June, 2024 S.O. 2353(E).—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (3) of section 3 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), the Central Government declared the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), as an unlawful association vide notification number S.O. 1983 (E), dated the 14th May, 2024, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 14th May, 2024. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby directs that all powers exercisable by it under section 7 and section 8 of the said Act shall also be exercised by the State Governments and the Union territory Administrations in relation to the above said unlawful association.
