L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-16102024-257929 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 578] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2024/ ASHVINA 22, 1946 6652 GI/2024 MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 11th October, 2024 G.S.R.634(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 18 of the Central Reserve Police Force Act, 1949 (66 of 1949), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandant (Pharmacist), Para-Medical Cadre, in the Central Reserve Police Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Home Affairs, Central Reserve Police Force, Assistant Commandant (Pharmacist), Group 'A' post, Recruitment Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Number of post, classification and level in pay matrix.— The number of the said post, its classification and level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 3. Method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications, etc. The method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule. 4. Disqualification.- No person, (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said post: Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. 5. Superannuation.— (1) Every person appointed under these rules shall retire from service on the afternoon of the last day of the month in which he or she attains the age of sixty years or as per prescribed by the Central Government from time to time: Provided that the person whose date of birth is on the first day of a month, shall retire from service on the afternoon of the last day of the preceding month on attaining the age of superannuation. (2) No person shall be granted extension in service beyond the prescribed age of retirement on superannuation as specified in sub-rule(1). 6. Liability of service. Any person, appointed to the said post under these rules shall be liable to serve anywhere in India or aboard. 7. Power to relax. — Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 8. Saving. Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age-limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Other Backward Classes, the Ex- servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard.
