Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Mines, through Order S.O. 5170(E) dated 13th November, 2025, has, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 16, section 17, and sub-section (3) of section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), withdrawn the Primary Lead (Quality Control) Order, 2025. This action was taken by the Central Government, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, as it was deemed necessary or expedient in the public interest. For this purpose, the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Mines, bearing number S.O. 1767(E), dated 17th April, 2025, and published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) on the same date, has been rescinded.
