The Ministry of Mines, through Order S.O. 5169(E) dated 13th November, 2025, announced the Central Government's decision to withdraw the Refined Zinc (Quality Control) Order, 2025. This action is taken in exercise of powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 16 read with section 17 and sub-section (3) of section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016). The Central Government, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards and deeming it necessary in the public interest, also rescinds the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Mines, issued vide number S.O. 1768(E), dated 17th April, 2025, which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), on the same date.
