Detailed Summary

Issued by the Ministry of Mines on 13th November, 2025, under S.O. 5174(E), this Order announces the Central Government's decision to withdraw the Copper (Quality Control) Order, 2023. This action is taken in the public interest, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, and in exercise of powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 16 read with section 17 and sub-section (3) of section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016). For this purpose, the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Mines, issued vide number S.O. 3847(E), dated the 31st August, 2023, and published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), on the same date, is rescinded.
