Amendment in the notification for appointment of representatives from State Biodiversity boards.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-13052026-272527 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2369] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, MAY 13, 2026/VAISAKHA 23, 1948 MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 11th May, 2026 S.O. 2461(E).— WHEREAS the Central Government established the National Biodiversity Authority under sub-sections (1) and (4) of section 4 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 (18 of 2003) vide notification number S.O. 1147(E), dated the 1st October, 2003 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii); AND WHEREAS the Central Government has issued various notification in this regard to appoint the members of the Authority from time to time; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 8 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 (18 of 2003), the Central Government hereby appoints the following members to the National Biodiversity Authority and for that purpose makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests number S.O. 1147 (E), dated the 1st October, 2003, namely:- 1. In the said notification, for serial numbers (14) to (17) and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:- Members appointed on Annual rotational basis under clause(c) of sub-section (4) of section 8: "(14) Member-Secretary, State Biodiversity Board of Madhya Pradesh; (15) Member-Secretary, State Biodiversity Board of Tripura; (16) Member-Secretary, State Biodiversity Board of Andhra Pradesh; (17) Member-Secretary, State Biodiversity Board of Odisha;" [F.
