Short title and Commencement. - (1) This Order may be called the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Thirteenth Amendment) Order, 2024. (2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Schedule VI. - In the Schedule VI to the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 – A. Against serial number 83, relating to entries in column 2(i), & 3 (i), Citrus spp. (Lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, mandarins, etc. and other Rutaceous) and Fresh fruits for consumption ”, and against the entry in column (4) (i) Australia, the existing entries in columns (6) will be replaced with the following entries, namely: - (4) (5) (6) (i) Australia Free from: (a) Aspidiotus nerii (aucuba scale) (b) Bactrocera aquilonis (c) Bactrocera jarvisi (d) Bactrocera neohumeralis (e) Bactrocera tryoni (Queensland fruit fly) (f) Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean fruit fly) (g) Epiphyas postvittana (light brown apple moth) (h) Guignardia citricarpa (citrus black spot) (i) Pseudococcus calceolariae (scarlet mealybug) (j) Unaspis citri (citrus snow scale) a.Pest -free area status for Bactrocer aaquilonis, B.neohumeralis, B. tryoni (Queensland fruit fly) and Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean fruit fly) as per international standards Or b. Methyl bromide fumigation @ 32 g/m3 for 2 hrs at 210C or above at NAP or equivalent thereof against Queensland fruit fly and Mediterranean fruit fly Or c. Pre -shipment or in transit cold treatment at 30C or below for 20 days against Mediterranean fruit fly and for 16 days against Queensland fruit fly. B. Against serial Number 431, relating to entries in column (2)(ii) Vaccinium spp. (Blue berry and Cranberry), column (3) (iv) Fresh fruit for consumption and column (4) (iv) Australia, the existing entries in columns (5) & (6) will be replaced with the following entries: (4) (5) (6) (iv) Australia Free from: a) Aspidiotus nerii (Aucuba scale) i. Pest free area status for Bactrocera tryoni (Queensland fruit fly) and Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean fruit fly) as per international standards; b) Bactrocera tryoni (Queensland fruit fly) c) Guignardia vaccinii (Berry speckle) d) Pseudomonas viridiflava (Bacterial leaf blight of tomato (USA)) e)Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean fruit fly) or ii. Methyl bromide fumigation @ 32 g/ m3 for 2 hrs at 210C or above under NAP; or Methyl bromide fumigation @ 32 g/ m3 for 31/2hrs at 150C or above under NAP; or equivalent thereof against Queensland fruit fly and Mediterranean fruit fly; or iii. Pre shipment or in -transit cold treatment at 00C or below for 13 days or greater; 0.550C or below for 14 days or greater; 1.10C or below for 18 days or greater against Queensland fruit fly and 00C or below for 10 days or greater; 0.550C or below for 11 days or greater; 1.10C or below for 12 days or greater against Mediterranean fruit fly. The treatment should be endorsed on Phytosanitary Certificate issued at the country of Origin/ re -export. C. Against serial number 293 relating to entries in column (2) (i) Stone fruits (plum, peach, cherry, apricot, almond, nectrine) ( Prunus spp.), column (3) (iii) Fresh fruits for consumption and column (4) (ii) Australia, the existing entries in columns (5) & (6) will be replaced with the following entries: (4) (5) (6) (ii) Australia Free from: a) Oriental fruit moth ( Cydia molesta ) b) Gypsy moth ( Lymantria dispar ) c) Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata ) d) Manchurian fruit moth (Cydia inopinata ) e) Cherry fruit worm ( Cydia packardi ) f) Plum moth ( Cydia prunivora ) g) Peach fruit moth (Carposina niponenosis ) h) Queensland fruit fly (Bactrocera tryoni ) (i) Pest free status for Bactrocera tryoni (Queensland fruit fly) and Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean fruit fly) as per international standards. or (ii)Methyl bromide fumigation 32 g/m3 for 2 hrs at 210Cor above at NAP or equivalent thereof against Queensland fruit fly and Mediterranean fruit fly or (iii) Pre -shipment / in -transit cold treatment at 00C or below for 10 days; 0.550C or below for 11 days; 1.10C or below for 12 days plus in-transit refrigeration against Mediterranean fruit fly and 00C or below for 13 days; 0.550C or below for 14 days; 1.10C or below for 18 days plus in transit refrigeration against Queensland fruit fly.
