This Order, S.O. 1202(E) dated 11th March 2024, issued by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, in pursuance of clause 20D of the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Order, 1985, notifies specifications for Nano Urea fertilizer (liquid) to be manufactured by M/s IFFCO in India for a period of three years from the date of publication, comprising total nitrogen (as N) of 1-5% by weight minimum, pH of 4.5-6.0, viscosity of 5-30 cP, particle size requirements of a minimum 50% of material in the 20-50 nm range by TEM analysis and a minimum 50% in the 20-80 nm range by DLS (hydrodynamic) analysis, and a surface charge/zeta potential greater than 30; the Order is signed by Yogita Rana, Joint Secretary, under F. Particle Size in nano meter (nm) in one dimension (a.) Physical particle Size as per TEM analysis Minimum 50 per cent. of the material shall be in the range of 20 -50 nm (b.)
