The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) issued a notification on 29th September, 2025 (F. No.13-CA(EXAM)/JANUARY/2026) in pursuance of Regulations 22, 25F, 28F, 31, and 204 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. This notification announces the dates and examination cities for the January 2026 Chartered Accountants Foundation, Intermediate, and Final Examinations, as well as the International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT – AT) and Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination (Post Qualification Courses). The Final Course Examinations (Groups I & II) are scheduled for January 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, and 16th, 2026. Intermediate Course Examinations (Groups I & II) will be held on January 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 15th, and 17th, 2026. The Foundation Course Examination is scheduled for January 18th, 20th, 22nd, and 24th, 2026. Post Qualification Courses, specifically INTT – AT and IRM Technical Examination (Modules I to IV), will take place on January 9th, 11th, 13th, and 16th, 2026. No examination is scheduled for January 14th, 2026, due to Makar Sankranti/Magha Bihu/Pongal festivals. Examination timings are generally 2 PM to 5 PM (3 hours duration) for most papers, with exceptions for Foundation Paper 3 & 4 (2 hours, 2 PM to 4 PM) and Final Paper 6 and all INTT – AT papers (4 hours, 2 PM to 6 PM). An advance reading time of 15 minutes (1:45 PM to 2 PM IST) is provided for most papers, but not for Foundation Paper 3 & 4 and all Post Qualification Course Examinations, nor for MCQs based Question Papers in composite exams. Examinations will be conducted in 109 Indian cities across various states/union territories and 9 overseas cities: Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Thimphu (Bhutan), Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuwait, Muscat, and Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), with adjusted local start times corresponding to 2 PM IST. Online application forms will be available from November 3rd, 2025, with the last date for submission without a late fee being November 16th, 2025, and with a late fee (₹ 600/- or US $ 10) being November 19th, 2025. A correction window for examination city/medium will be open from November 20th to November 22nd, 2025. Examination fees vary by course and centre type: Intermediate (Indian: ₹ 1500/₹ 2700; Overseas excl. Bhutan/Nepal: US$ 325/US$ 500; Bhutan/Nepal: INR ₹ 2200/INR ₹ 3400), Final (Indian: ₹ 1800/₹ 3300; Overseas excl. Bhutan/Nepal: US$ 325/US$ 550; Bhutan/Nepal: INR ₹ 2200/INR ₹ 4000), Foundation (Indian: ₹ 1500; Overseas excl. Bhutan/Nepal: US$ 325; Bhutan/Nepal: INR ₹ 2200), and Post Qualification Courses (₹ 2000 each for INTT-AT and IRM). Payment is accepted via VISA/MASTER/MAESTRO Credit/Debit Card, Rupay Card, Net Banking, or Bhim UPI. These forms will be available on SSP, and you are requested to login with your credentials (Username <SRN@icai.org> and password). These Exam forms will be available in SSP effective designated dates as announced on www.icai.org.
