L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-10042026-271702 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 251] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, APRIL 10, 2026/CHAITRA 20, 1948 MINISTRY OF MINES NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 10th April, 2026 G.S.R. 271(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession Rules, 2016, namely:— 1. Short title and commencement. — (1) These rules may be called the Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession (Third Amendment) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession Rules, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 39, in sub-rule (1), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- "Provided that in case the processing of run-of-mine results in decrease in its economic value, then royalty shall be chargeable on the lumps and fines after initial screening of unprocessed run-of-mine.". 3. In the said rules, in rule 45, after sub-rule (12), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:- "(13) The Indian Bureau of Mines shall publish average sale price of Haematite Iron Ore having Fe content below the threshold value, including Banded Haematite Quartzite and Banded Haematite Jasper in the following manner, namely:- (a) for 35% to below 45% Fe grade, the average sale price shall be equal to seventy-five per cent. of average sale price of 45% to below 51% Fe grade of Iron Ore; (b) for below 35% Fe grade, the average sale price shall be equal to fifty per cent. of average sale price of 45% to below 51% Fe grade of Iron Ore.".
