Short title and Commencement. - (1) This Order may be called the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Tenth Amendment) Order, 2023. (2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. The following amendments to Schedule VI of Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into In dia) Order, 2003 A) The following serial number and entries thereto shall be inserted, namely: S.No. Plant Species Category of plant material Country of origin Additional declarations required to be incorporated into Phytosanitary certificate Special co nditions of import (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) 789 Vigna subterranea (Bambara groundnut) Dry grains for consumption Nigeria Free from: (a) Alectra vogelii (Yellow witchweed) (b) Bruchidius atrolineatus (i) Free from soil and other plant debris. (ii) Fumi gation with Aluminum phosphide (ALP) @ 9 g/metric ton for minimum 5 -7 days or equivalent thereof. The treatment shall be endorsed in Phytosanitary Certificate issued at the country of origin B) Against serial number 359, the existing entry in column 2 wi ll be numbered as (i) and the following entries relating to column (2), (3), (4), (5) and (6) shall be inserted namely: (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (ii) Echinacea purpurea / Echinacea hybrid (cone flower) Tissue cultured plants Netherlands Certified that the ti ssue cultured plants were obtained from mother stock tested and maintained free from: 1. Broad bean wilt virus, 2. Cucumber mosaic virus, Nil 3. Impatiens necrotic spot virus, 4. Tomato spotted wilt virus and 5. Tobacco rattle virus C) Against seri al number 461, relating to Diospyros kaki (Persimmon) in column (3) against entry (iii) regarding „Fresh fruits for consumption, in column (4) against item (i) ‘Spain' and entries relating thereto, the existing entries in column (6) shall be substituted, namely: (6) a) Pest free area status for Ceratitis spp. as per international standards or b) Pre shipment/ In -transit cold treatment at 0oC or below for 10 continuous days; 0.55oC or below for 11 continuous days; 1.1oC or below for 12 continuous days plus i n-transit refrigeration against fruit flies or c) Methyl Bromide fumigation @ 32 g/m3 for 2 hrs at 21oC or above at NAP or equivalent thereof. The treatment should be endorsed on Phytosanitary Certificate issued at the country of origin/re -export. D) Against serial number 714, relating to “ Arundo donax” and column (3) against the entry “Tissue culture plants”, the following entries relating thereto in columns (4), (5) and (6), shall be inserted, namely: - (4) (5) (6) (iii) Hungary Certified that the t issue culture plants were obtained from mother stock tested and maintained free from any virus.
