The Central Government, in pursuance of Sub-Rule (4) of Rule 10 of the Official Language (Use for official purposes of the Union) Rules, 1976 (as amended, 1987), hereby notifies specific offices of the Geological Survey of India, an attached office, and the Indian Bureau of Mines, a subordinate office, both under the Ministry of Mines. The criterion for this notification is that more than 80% of the staff in these offices have acquired a working knowledge of Hindi. The offices notified are: 1. Geological Survey of India, State Unit, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, and 2. Indian Bureau of Mines, Regional Office, Guwahati. This notification is issued under S.O. 2047(E) dated 30th April, 2025, with File No. E-16013/1/2022-Hindi and signed by FARIDA M. NAIK, Jt. Secy.
