The Ministry of Home Affairs, through Notification S.O. 118(E) dated January 8, 2026, has designated the Children's Court at Bhopal, which is the Principal District and Sessions Court, Bhopal, as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Special Court. This designation is made by the Central Government, in consultation with the Hon'ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 11 of the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008 (34 of 2008). The purpose of this designation is for conducting the trial of ST No. 187/2024, which arises out of NIA Case RC-04/2017/NIA/DLI. The jurisdiction of this newly designated NIA Special Court extends throughout the entire State of Madhya Pradesh.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the National Investigation Agency, Act 2008 (34 of 2008), the Central Government, in consultation with the Hon'ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, hereby designates the Children's Court at Bhopal i.e. Principal District and Sessions Court, Bhopal as the NIA Special Court for the purpose of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the said Act, for conducting trial of ST No. 187/2024 arising out of NIA Case RC-04/2017/NIA/DLI.
