By S.O. 4829(E) dated 7th November 2023, the Ministry of Power, in exercise of powers under sub-para 3.2 of Para 3 of the Guidelines issued under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) and on the recommendation of the 15th meeting of the National Committee on Transmission, appoints PFC Consulting Limited as Bid Process Coordinator for two transmission schemes to be implemented within 24 months of SPV transfer: the transmission system strengthening for interconnection of the Bhadla-III and Bikaner-III complex (including a Bhadla-III-Bikaner-III 765kV D/c line of about 150 km), and the network expansion scheme in Gujarat for evacuation of about 3.6 GW of load under Phase-I in the Jamnagar area (including a Jamnagar GIS pooling station, the Halvad-Jamnagar 765kV D/c line of 170 km, and multiple associated LILO connections and reactors); by a further notification, S.O. 4830(E), also dated 7th November 2023 and issued under the same statutory authority following the 15th NCT meeting, the Central Government modifies the scope of four previously notified Tariff Based Competitive Bidding transmission schemes: the Transmission Scheme for Solar Energy Zone in Bidar (2500 MW), Karnataka (originally notified vide S.O. 386(E) dated 24.01.2020 and modified vide S.O. 1486(E) dated 29.03.2023), now including a Bidar pooling station and the Bidar PS-Maheshwaram (PG) 765kV D/c line of 242 km; the Transmission System for evacuation of power from the Renewable Energy Zone in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part D (originally S.O. 5032(E) dated 03.12.2021), revised to include the Sikar-II-Khetri 765kV D/c line (90 km) and Sikar-II-Narela 765kV D/c line (260 km); the Transmission System for evacuation of power from the Renewable Energy Zone in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part I (originally S.O. 235(E) dated 13.01.2023), with a revised commissioning schedule of 48 months for Bipole-I and 54 months for Bipole-2; and the Transmission Scheme for integration of the Renewable Energy Zone (Phase-II) in Koppal-II (Phase-B), Karnataka (originally S.O. 855(E) dated 23.02.2023), with implementation schedule reduced from 36 to 24 months; the Bid Process Coordinators for these four schemes remain unchanged; both notifications are signed by Bihari Lal, Under Secy.
