The Ministry of Home Affairs (CTCR Division), through Notification S.O. 4532(E) dated 1st October, 2025, announced that the Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by section 11 of the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008 (34 of 2008), and after consultation with the Hon'ble Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, has designated the Court of District and Additional Sessions Judge- XIV, Patna, as a Special Court. This designation is specifically for the purpose of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the said Act, enabling the trial of NIA Special Case No. 03 of 2018 (RC-14/2018/NIA/DLI) and NIA Special Case No. 08 of 2018 (RC-31/2018/NIA/DLI), both of which were investigated by the National Investigation Agency.
