L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-06062024-254583 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (iii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 144] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2024/JYAISHTHA 16, 1946 ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 6th June, 2024 O.N. 154(E).-- Whereas, the President of India has, by notification issued under Section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951(43 of 1951) and published in the Gazette of India on 06th June, 2024, has been pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of Kerala, to elect 03 (three) members to the Council of States to fill the vacancies in that House caused due to the retirement of the sitting members on 01st July, 2024 on the expiration of their term of office; Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 39 and Section 56 of the said Act, the Election Commission hereby- (A) appoints, with respect to the said election; (a) the 13th June, 2024 (Thursday), as the last date for making nominations; (b) the 14th June, 2024 (Friday), as the date for the scrutiny of the nominations; (c) the 18th June, 2024 (Tuesday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures; (d) the 25th June, 2024 (Tuesday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and (e) the 28th June, 2024 (Friday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and (B) fixes the hours from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm, as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken in the above-mentioned State on the date specified above for the election.
