Short title and commencem ent.- (1) These rules may be c alled the Central Reserve Police Force, Tradesmen Cadre, Group ‘C’ Band posts Recruitment Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Definitions. - (1) In these rules, unless the context other wise requires, - (a) “Director General” means the Director General, Central Reserve Police Force; and (b) “SHAPE -I” means the Medical Category as specified under the Central Reserve Police Force Standing Order No. 04 of 2008 dated the 15th December, 2008 as amended from time to time. (2) The words and expressions used herein and not defined shall have the same meanings assigned to them in the Central Reserve Police Force Act, 1949 (66 of 1949) and the Central Reserve Police Force Rules, 1955. 3. Application. - These rules shall apply to the posts specified in column (1) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 4. Number of post, classification and level in the pay matrix. - The number of posts, their classification and level in pay matrix attached th ereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 5. Method of recruitment, age -limit, qualifications, etc. - The method of recruitment, age -limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said posts shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the aforesaid Schedule. 6. Maintenance. - Every post remained unfilled and every vacancy that may arise thereafter shall be filled in accordance with the provisions as specified in the said Schedule and the procedure a s may be specified by the Central Government from time to time. 7. Seniority. - Seniority shall be regulated in accordance with the Central Reserve Police Force Rules, 1955 and general instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time. 8. Disqualification. - No person, - (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts: Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for doing so, exempt any perso n from the operation of this rule. 9. Ineligibility of non -citizens of India. -No person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the prior permission of the Central Government in writing, be appointed under these rules: Provided that nothing co ntained in this rule shall debar the appointment or employment of a subject of Nepal or Bhutan in the Force. 10. Superannuation. - (1) Every person appointed under these rules shall retire from service on the afternoon of the last day of the month in whi ch he or she attains the age of sixty years or as specified by the Central Government from time to time : Provided that a person whose date of birth is on the first day of a month shall retire from service in the afternoon of the last day of the preceding month on attaining the age of sixty years. (2) No person shall be granted extension in service beyond the specified age of retirement on superannuation. 11. Power to relax. - Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient to do so, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 12. Saving. - Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age -limit and o ther concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Other Backward Classes, Ex - servicemen and other special categories of persons, in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard. 13. Interpretation. - If any question relating to the interpretation of these rules arises, it shall be decided by the Central Government. (7) (i) 10th class pass from a recognised Board; (ii) physical and Medical Standard for recruitment to the post of Constable (Brass Band) in Central Reserve Police Force shall be applicable as per the Scheme specified by the Central Government from time to time; and (iii) the candidates shall qualify physical efficiency test, written examination and trade test as specified for Constable (Brass Band) mentioned in the advertisement for recruitment.
