L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-05042024-253567 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1547] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2024/CHAITRA 16, 1946 2438 GI/2024 MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 5th April, 2024 S.O. 1630(E).—Whereas, four factions of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) namely JKPL (Mukhtar Ahmed Waza), JKPL (Bashir Ahmad Tota), JKPL (Ghulam Mohammad Khan @Sopori) also known as Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Political League and JKPL (Aziz Sheikh) led by Yaqoob Sheikh has been declared as unlawful associations, vide notification number S.O. 1415(E) dated the 15th March, 2024, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii). Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5 read with sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), the Central Government hereby constitutes the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal consisting of Justice Neena Bansal Krishna, Judge, High Court of Delhi, for the purpose of adjudicating whether or not there is sufficient cause for declaring the four factions of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) namely JKPL (Mukhtar Ahmed Waza), JKPL (Bashir Ahmad Tota), JKPL (Ghulam Mohammad Khan @Sopori) also known as Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Political League and JKPL (Aziz Sheikh) led by Yaqoob Sheikh, as unlawful associations.
