The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare) issued Notification S.O. 5573(E) on December 3, 2025, to amend the constitution of a Committee. This Committee was established to promote Zero budget based farming, adapt crop patterns to changing national needs, and enhance the effectiveness and transparency of Minimum Support Price (MSP). The amendment, published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), modifies the Committee's composition by substituting the entry at Serial No. 7. Previously, Mr. Naveen P. Singh, senior member of CACP, held this position; he is now replaced by "Chairman, CACP or the Member nominated by him." The original committee constitution was published vide S.O. 3211(E) dated 18th July, 2022.
