In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 4 of the Offshore Areas Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 2002 (17 of 2003) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Mines, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-Section (ii), vide S.O. 1523(E), dated the 06th April, 2018, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby notifies Dr. Veena Kumari Dermal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines as the administering authority for the purposes of the said Act.
