S.O. 1903(E).—In pursuance of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the
following declaration containing the name of the candidates elected to fill the seats in the Council of States of two
members, who retired on 03rd May, 2024, on the expiration of their term of office, is published for general
information:-

Election to the Council of States by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Jharkhand.
"In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub-section (2) of section 53 of the Representation of the People Act,
1951, read with sub-rule (1) of rule 11 of the Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961, I declare that---

S.O. 1904(E).—Whereas election has been held, in pursuance of notification number S.O. 1007(E), dated
the 04th March, 2024 issued under section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), for the
purpose of filling the seats of two members of the Council of States elected by the elected members of the Legislative
Assembly of the State of Jharkhand which fell vacant on the retirement of two members on the expiration of their term
of office on 3rd May, 2024;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 71 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the name of the
members elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Jharkhand are hereby notified for
general information:-
