In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines (Principal Private Secretary, Senior Private Secretary, Private Secretary and Stenographer) Recruitment Rules, 2019, namely:— 1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines (Principal Private Secretary, Senior Private Secretary, Private Secretary and Stenographer) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines (Principal Private Secretary, Senior Private Secretary, Private Secretary and Stenographer) Recruitment Rules, 2019, in the Schedule, against serial number 1 relating to the post of Principal Private Secretary, in column (11), - (i) under the sub-heading “Promotion", for the words "two years", the words "four years" shall be substituted; (ii) after the sub-heading “Promotion" and the entries relating thereto and before Note, the following Note shall be inserted, namely: - "Note 1: The eligibility service shall continue to be two years in respect of incumbents holding the feeder post of Senior Private Secretary in level 8 in the pay matrix (Rs. 47600-151100) on regular basis on the date of notification of the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines (Principal Private Secretary, Senior Private Secretary, Private Secretary and Stenographer) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023."; (iii) the "Note" shall be numbered as "Note 2"; (iv) under the sub-heading “Deputation", - (a) in clause (a), in sub-clause (ii), after the words “on regular basis", the words, figures, brackets and letters "in level-9 in the pay matrix (Rs.53100-167800) or with four years regular service" shall be inserted; (b) in clause (b), in sub-clause (i), for the entries, the entries, "Bachelor degree from a recognised University or institute; and" shall be substituted.
