L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-04012024-251152 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 18] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 2024/PAUSHA 14, 1945 MINISTRY OF MINES NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1st January, 2024 G.S.R. 21(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Junior Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Foreman (Group 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2021, namely:— 1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Junior Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Foreman (Group 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Junior Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Foreman (Group 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2021, in the Schedule, against serial number 1 relating to the post of Junior Mechanical Engineer, - (a) in column (9), after the word "years", the words "for promotee" shall be inserted; (b) in column (11), - (i) under sub-heading “Promotion", for the words "eight years", the words "ten years" shall be substituted; (ii) after sub-heading “Promotion" and the entries relating thereto and before Note, the following Note shall be inserted, namely: - "Note 1: The eligibility service shall continue to be eight years in respect of incumbents holding the feeder post of Mechanical Foreman in level 6 in the pay matrix (Rs. 35400-112400) on regular basis on the date of notification of the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Junior Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Foreman (Group 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023."; (iii) the "Note" shall be numbered as "Note 2"; (iv) under the sub-heading “Deputation (including short term contract)", in clause (a), in sub-clause (ii), for the words and figure “or level-8", the words and figure "or with four years in level-8" shall be substituted; (c) in column (13), after the word "necessary”, the words "on each occasion" shall be inserted.
