G.S.R. 20(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Chief Editor, Senior Editor, Editor, Assistant Editor and Technical Assistant (Publication), Group 'A' and 'B' Posts Recruitment Rules, 2020, namely:-- 1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Chief Editor, Senior Editor, Editor, Assistant Editor and Technical Assistant (Publication), Group 'A' and 'B' Posts Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Chief Editor, Senior Editor, Editor, Assistant Editor and Technical Assistant (Publication), Group 'A' and 'B' Posts, Recruitment Rules, 2020 in the Schedule, against serial number 3 relating to the post of Editor, in column (11), - (i) under the sub-heading “Promotion", for the words "three years", the words "five years” shall be substituted; (ii) after sub-heading "Promotion" and the entries relating thereto and before Note, the following Note shall be inserted, namely: - "Note 1: The eligibility service shall continue to be three years in respect of incumbents holding the feeder post of Assistant Editor in level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44900-142400) on regular basis on the date of notification of the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Chief Editor, Senior Editor, Editor, Assistant Editor and Technical Assistant (Publication), Group 'A' and 'B' Posts Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023."; (iii) the "Note" shall be numbered as "Note 2".
