L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-04012024-251149 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 15] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 2024/PAUSHA 14, 1945 MINISTRY OF MINES NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1st January, 2024 G.S.R. 18(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Chief Chemist, Superintending Chemist, Senior Chemist, Chemist and Assistant Chemist (Group 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2021, namely:-- 1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Chief Chemist, Superintending Chemist, Senior Chemist, Chemist and Assistant Chemist (Group 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Chief Chemist, Superintending Chemist, Senior Chemist, Chemist and Assistant Chemist (Group 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2021, in the Schedule, against serial number 4 relating to the post of Chemist, - (a) in column (6), for the words “departmental candidates”, the words “Government servants” shall be substituted; (b) in column (9), for the entry, the following shall be substituted, namely: - “Two years. Note: Direct recruits shall be required to successfully complete a mandatory induction training of at least two weeks duration, as prescribed by the competent authority, for completion of probation.”; (c) in column (11), - (i) under sub-heading “Promotion”, for the words “three years”, the words “five years” shall be substituted; (ii) after sub-heading “Promotion” and the entries relating thereto and before Note 1, the following Note shall be inserted, namely: - “Note 1: The eligibility service shall continue to be three years in respect of incumbents holding the feeder post of Assistant Chemist in level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44900-142400) on regular basis on the date of notification of the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Chief Chemist, Superintending Chemist, Senior Chemist, Chemist and Assistant Chemist (Group 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.”; (iii) the "Note" shall be numbered as "Note 2”.
