L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-04012024-251146 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 12] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 2024/PAUSHA 14, 1945 MINISTRY OF MINES NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1st January, 2024 G.S.R. 15(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines, [(Deputy Director (O.L.), Assistant Director (O.L.), Senior Translator and Junior Translator] Group 'A' and 'B' Posts Recruitment Rules, 2019, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement. — (1) These rules may be called the Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines, (Deputy Director (O.L.), Assistant Director (O.L.), Senior Translator and Junior Translator Group 'A' and 'B' Posts Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines, [(Deputy Director (O.L.), Assistant Director (O.L.), Senior Translator and Junior Translator] Group 'A' and 'B' Posts Recruitment Rules, 2019, - (A) in the opening paragraph, for the words "Senior Translator and Junior Translator", the words "Senior Translation Officer and Junior Translation Officer" shall be substituted; (B) in rule 1, in sub-rule (1), for the words "Senior Translator and Junior Translator", the words "Senior Translation Officer and Junior Translation Officer" shall be substituted; (C) in the Schedule, - (I) (i) for the words "Junior Translator", at both the places where they occur, the words "Junior Translation Officer" shall be substituted; (ii) for the words "Senior Translator", at both the places where they occur, the words "Senior Translation Officer" shall be substituted; (iii) against serial number 3 relating to the post of Assistant Director (O.L.), - (a) in column (9), for the entry, the entry "Two years for promotee." shall be substituted; (b) in column (11), - (i) under the sub-heading “Promotion", for the words "three years", the words "five years" shall be substituted; (ii) after sub-heading "Promotion" and the entries relating thereto and before Note 1, the following Note shall be in inserted, namely: - "Note 1: The eligibility service shall continue to be three years in respect of Senior Translation Officer in level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44900-142400) holding the feeder posts on regular basis on the date of notification of the Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines, (Deputy Director (O.L.), Assistant Director (O.L.), Senior Translator and Junior Translator Group 'A' and 'B' Posts Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023."; (iii) "Note 1" shall be renumbered as "Note 2"; (iv) under the sub-heading “Deputation”, - (I) in clause (a), (i) in sub-clause (ii), for the word and figure “level 8", the words and figure "or with four years' in level 8" shall be substituted; (ii) in sub-clause (iii), for the words "three years' service", the words "five years" shall be substituted; (II) in clause (b), in sub-clause (ii), after the words, "State Governments", at both the places where they occur, the words "or Union territory" shall be inserted.
