The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare), through notification S.O. 2963(E) dated 30th June, 2025, in exercise of powers under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights Act, 2001 (53 of 2001), has made further amendments to its previous notification S.O. 1589(E), dated 11th November, 2005. This amendment involves substituting entries for items (xii), (xiv), and (xv) and their related entries in the said notification. Specifically, the new entries designate the Vice-chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur as a Member for item (xii); the Principal Secretary (Agriculture), Government of Odisha as a Member for item (xiv); and the Principal Secretary (Agriculture), Government of Madhya Pradesh as a Member for item (xv). The principal notification S.O. 1589(E) was originally published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), and was last amended vide notification S.O. 2023(E), dated 28th April, 2022.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-03072025-264349 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2896] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JULY 2, 2025/ASHADHA 11, 1947 MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE (Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th June, 2025 S.O. 2963(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights Act, 2001 (53 of 2001), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare) number S.O. 1589(E), published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 11th November, 2005, namely:— In the said notification, for items (xii), (xiv) and (xv) and the entries relating thereto, the following item numbers and entries shall respectively be substituted, namely:- "(xii) Vice-chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur -Member (xiv) Principal Secretary (Agriculture), Government of Odisha -Member (xv) Principal Secretary (Agriculture), Government of Madhya Pradesh -Member" [F.
