NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st May, 2024
O. N. 147(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-Section (1) of Section 22 of the Representation of
the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby makes the following amendment in its
notification No. 434/MEGH-HP/2024(1) dated 29th May, 2024, relating to the appointment of additional "Assistant
Returning Officer" for Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Meghalaya for counting of votes polled through
Postal Ballot as specified in column (1) of the said Table in the performance of the functions of such Retuning
Officers; namely
In column (2) of the Table appended to the said notification, against the item shown below in column (1), for
the existing entry, the following corresponding entry shall be substituted:-

The officer in Column (2) of the above table shall cease to function as "Assistant Returning Officer" for
counting of votes, immediately after successful completion of counting of the General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024 for
Parliamentary Constituency mentioned in Column (1).
