New Delhi, the 25th August, 2025
No. E-11011/1/2020-Hindi. In supersession of Resolution No. E-11011/1/2020-Hindi, dated 01
February 2022, issued by the Ministry of Rural Development, the Government of India, has decided to re-
constitute the Hindi Salahakar Samiti for the Ministry of Rural Development. The composition and the
functions of the Samiti will be as follows: -

2. Functions of the Committee
The function of the Committee will be to render advice to the Ministry of Rural Development on
the implementation of various provisions related to Official Language contained in the Constitution,
Official Language Act/Rules, decisions of the Kendriya Hindi Samiti and the instructions issued by the
Ministry of Home Affairs (Department of Official Language) in this regard and on the matters related to
progressive use of Hindi for Official purposes.
3. Tenure.
The tenure of the Samiti will be three years from the date of its constitution, provided that: -
a. Member of Parliament who is a member of the Samiti shall cease to be a member of the Samiti as
soon as he ceases to be a Member of Parliament.
b. Ex-officio members of the Samiti shall continue as members as long as they hold offices by virtue
of which they are members of the Samiti.
c. If a vacancy arises on the Samiti due to resignation, death, etc., of a member, the member so
nominated in that capacity shall hold office for the residual term of the Samiti.
d. Tenure of the Committee can be extended or curtailed in special circumstances.
4. General
The Headquarters of the Samiti shall be at New Delhi, but it may hold its meetings at any other station also.
5. Travelling & Other Allowances
The non-official members will be paid travelling and daily allowances for attending the meeting of Hindi
Salahkar Samiti as per guidelines contained in O.M. No.11/20034/4/86-OL (P-2) dated 22 January, 1987 of
the Department of Official Language and according to the rules and rates as amended by the Govt. of India
from time to time.
ORDER
Ordered that a copy of this Resolution be communicated to all the Members of the Samiti, all State
Governments and Union Territory Administrations, the President's Secretariat, the Vice President's
Secretariat, all the Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, the Prime Minister's Office, the
Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Lok Sabha Secretariat, the Rajya Sabha
Secretariat, NITI Aayog, the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language, the Comptroller and Auditor
General of India and the Pay & Accounts Office of the Ministry of Rural Development and all
attached/subordinate offices/autonomous organizations under its control.
It is also ordered that this Resolution be published in the Gazette of India for the general public
information.
