Disqualifications include bigamy, though the Central Government may grant exemptions. Incumbents holding these posts on a regular basis prior to these rules are deemed appointed under them for probation, promotion, confirmation, and pension. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Home Affairs, Sashastra Seema Bal, Combatised, Engineering and Tradesmen Cadre (Group 'C' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Application .- These rules shall apply to the posts as specified in column (1) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 3. Number of posts, classification and level in pay matrix .- The number of the said posts, their classification and level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the said Schedule. 4. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications, etc.- The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said posts shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule. 5. Disqualification .– No person,– (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts: Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such a marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to the person and other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. 6. Initial constitution.- The incumbents holding the posts as specified in the Schedule, who were appointed to the posts as before the commencement of these rules on regular basis shall be deemed to have been appointed under the provisions of these rules in the respective grades immediately before the commencement of these rules, shall be taken into account for the purposes of probation period, qualifying service for promotion, confirmation and pension in the service. 7. Medical fitness.- Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules, only those persons who are in the medical category of SHAPE-1, as specified in the Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines for recruitment medical examinations in the Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles, shall be eligible for appointment under the provisions of these rules. 8. Superannuation. – Every person appointed under these rules shall retire from service on the afternoon of the last day of the month in which he or she attains the age of sixty years: Provided that the person whose date of birth is on the first day of the month, shall retire from service in the afternoon of the last day of the preceding month on attaining the age of superannuation. 9. Liability of service.- Any person, appointed to the said posts under these rules shall be liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad. 10. Interpretation.- If any question relating to the interpretation of these rules arises, it shall be decided by the Central Government. 11. Power to relax .- Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 12.
