No. 17011/01/2023-IFS-II dated 1st April 2024, inserts a proviso below Rule 21 of the Indian Forest Service Examination Rules-2023 (published in Part I, Section 1 of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated 1st February 2023), clarifying that candidates seeking reservation/relaxation benefits under the EWS category, who had submitted an Income and Asset Certificate signed by a Naib Tehsildar (or equivalent authority) by the closing date of the application for the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination-2023, may submit the same certificate duly countersigned by the Tehsildar or Competent Authority to the Commission up to 16th April 2024, for their claims to be considered for the Indian Forest Service Examination-2023; the notification is signed by Mahendra Yadaw, Under Secretary.
