L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-02022024-251745 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 395] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2024/MAGHA 13, 1945 672 GI/2024 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS' WELFARE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 31st January, 2024 S.O. 419(E).—Whereas, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare in the Government of India had issued Gazette Notification S.O. 2475(E) dated 28th July, 2017 under section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016) providing subsidy on Agricultural Credit to the farmers to facilitate short-term agricultural loan at concessional rate of interest and incentivize them for prompt repayment of loan through various components as per scheme guidelines was required to furnish proof of possession of Aadhaar or undergo Aadhaar authentication. And whereas, vide para 3 of the said notification, it was provided that the notification should come into effect from the date of its publication in the official Gazette in all the States and Union Territories (UTs) except the States of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir (Now, UTs of J&K and Ladakh). Now, therefore, in the case of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir, the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers" Welfare in the Government of India hereby notifies that in these States/Union Territories, the said Notification will come into effect as under: In the case of Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh with effect from date of issue of this Gazette Notification.
